Not a Twinings Tea Ad

Sunny introduced me the pleasures of drinking tea.
And from then on, this have been a part of my daily diet.

Actually, I have this notion that teas are only for aged people who restrict themselves from drinking sodas and trying to live a healthy life. But ever since I tried sipping those herbal stuffs, I went gaga over it and can't stop hoarding and trying the other flavors. I personally choose the brand Twinings and Lipton. Yeah, as endorsed by my friend who's also a tea addict. They offer different flavors that will surely suit your labile moods.

Here are the Flavors that I tried.

Twinings Peach and Passion Fruit
Twinings Lemon and Ginger
Twinings Raspberry and Echinacea
Twinings Pure Peppermint
Twinings Lemon Twist
Twinings Blackcurrant, Ginseng and Vanilla
Twinings Strawberry and Mango
Lipton Caramel
Lipton Vanilla

Hearty Visit at Philippine Heart Center

I went to Philippine Heart Center yesterday to meet

Rick's

Parents and brother.

Tita recently gone through an operation- Mitral Valve Repair and she was admitted to the aforementioned institution. I figured out that it's not the best time to visit her (postoperatively) for visitors can contribute additional stress to the patient. After a couple of clinical check-ups and her condition has stabilized, I decided to meet up with her.

This is such an awkward and nerve-wrecking situation. Meeting with the future in-laws is bit complicated especially if your partner isn't around. Yep, He's in Oslo and I'm meeting them alone. Worst case scenarios begun to appear in my mind everytime I think about this "Meet the parents" thingy.

Well, I guess it's normal.. or Is it?

In the end, I figured out that most of the things we fear of actually don't happen. It's our insecurities that mocks ourself.

In short, the meet-the-parents occasion turned out fine. We had a little chat, the kumustahan section, tell-me-about-yourself-and-your-family thing, sharing of anecdotes and the part that I love the most, the bukuhan section! One thing I treasure about this is I get to know something about my future hubby: how he is as a person, an employee, and as a son/brother.

I also find Tita a very sweet person.
While we were walking along the hospital corridor,
she reached out her hand and gently interlocked her hands into mine.
I felt like she's my real biological mom.

Rick's family in Norway.

Little convo:
Tito: "Paano ba yan, malapit na namin dalhin ang ate nyo sa Norway? Pinayagan nyo na ba sya?" while talking to my sisters.
Me: Silent. Overwhelmed. Shocked. My jaw dropped.
Mar (youngest sister): giggled
Tam (my younger sister): "Nako, di po pwede yon. Sasama po kame!"

Tito, Tita, Franco (Rick's bro), me and my sisters: lol. We all laughed.

________
A witty answer from my witty sister.
;)

Oh, I can't wait to be in one with this family.

The end.

Pets Galore!

Meet my turtle, Dipity.
She's now 5 years old (Happy birthday, Dipity!).
Jim gave me a pair of turtles couple of years ago.

She's just an inch and a half long way back then.
But now, as you can see, Dipity's now as huge as my hand!

Lookie at her sharp nails.
Feisty!

Oh well, she's actually harmless... and friendly.
She can roam around the backyard together with our dogs namely

Lemon and

Lime.

They're this big now.
Lemon (male) is actually sweet and tamed
while Lime (female) is the maldita one who jumps all over the place and loves to stay on my dad's chair.

Nothing beats the priceless moments with those stress busters.
They're cute, cuddly and an will make you forget your worries.

The end.

A humble offer

Timid as a lighted candle,
as fragile as my heart,
let all my worries fade,
my hopes never be apart.
May the wind blow gently,
to make the light go strong,
but never let the wind blow harshly,
for those likely days will end erelong.

I paint: My first Oil Painting

I bought these painting stuffs this afternoon.

Palette knife,

and Oil paint.

I haven't used oil paint since gradeschool.
At first, I felt bit awkward using such medium but as I go on with the challenge, I find it gratifying!

So, what made me bought these supplies and tried using palette knife?
Simple. The answer is ENVY.
lol
Yeah. You read it right.
E.N.V.Y.

I went to DH's blog and saw his latest painting.
I was amazed. Seriously!
I've have asked my co-faculty as well as Kuya TGT about the palette thing before and I decided to try it once I consumed all the previous acrylic paints that I bought.
But because of DH's obra, I again came up with a decision that I really should try it ASAP.

And so I did.

Here's the result..

My first ever OIL painting.

By the way, in case you can't figure out what it is... lol
It's a simple flower box along the road with a parked bicycle behind it.

Thanks DH for sharing your work and for unconsciously motivating me to try on different paints and styles.

Not a San Agustin Church Ad

San Agustin Church
Intramuros, Manila

Nowadays, more couples opt for San Agustin church for the exchange of wedding vows. Not just because it costs less than the well-known Manila Cathedral, various venues and caterers can be seen on its vicinity, but maybe (just maybe) because many couples who get wed in the aforementioned church eventually files for a divorce (just my opinion).

It's a great place for your wedding if you're in the metro.
The architectural works is quite unique compared to the other churches in Manila.

This religious structure were originally made by the Spaniards centuries ago and was rebuilt by the Agustinians.

The interesting towering ceiling and walls were actually murals.
It has an intricate design that made the visitors (especially me) amazed.

The pulpit is also a lovely part of the church.
I seldom see churches with pulpit, so this also struck my attention.

My mom fell in love with this chandelier accented with blue crystals.
These lovely pieces made the church extra special. So there's no need to add up voluminous flower arrangements to beautify the place.

So, have you ticked this on your list?
Wanna know the rates for wedding ceremony?

Rate: 23,000 php (1 hour wedding)
45,000 php (2 hours)

Months to book: at most- three years before wedding date
at least- 2 months before the wedding date.
